Here’re 6 delicious egg yolk recipes for you to try. Different recipes for various amounts of yolks! Never waste another leftover egg yolk!

If you know anything about me, you probably know that I have a thing for meringue-based desserts, like Angel food cake, Pavlova cake and of course, macarons. As a result, I end up with a ton of extra egg yolks.  

And because I hate wasting food, I’ve collected many different ways to put those extra yolks to a good use!

Here’re my favorite ways to use leftover egg yolks. Different egg yolk recipes for different amounts of yolks needed!! No matter how many yolks you have on hand, I’m sure you’ll find just the right recipe!

Egg Yolk Cookies (6 eggs)

These cookies are slightly cake-y, rich, but not overly sweet. They’re delicious as is, and also a perfect base for additional flavors too. 

These egg yolk cookies are readers’ favorite. It gets ton of 5-star reviews all the time!

Pastry cream (4 yolks)

This classic pastry cream is so versatile.

You can use it to fill eclairs, make banana cream pie, or any tarts and desserts!

Tip

Store egg yolks in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
