Why you’ll love this orange cranber spritzer

Who said non-alcoholic drinks should be boring? Forget about plain sparkling water or juices. Instead, make this big batch of alcohol-free orange cranberry spritzer for all your parties this holiday season.

A complete crowd-pleaser, your guests will love the refreshingly sweet and sour taste of this non-alcoholic spritzer!

  • Easy – With just three ingredients, prep time for this drink only takes a few minutes. There are no complicated steps like muddling or blending required!
  • Flavorful – Every sip is sweet, tart, and bubbling for a refreshing drink that will keep your guests sipping.
  • Large batch – One batch makes enough to serve up to 10 people and can easily be doubled or even tripled for a large party.

This orange cranberry spritzer recipe will truly make you feel like a professional host. Your non-alcohol-drinking friends will appreciate having a festive option, and any little ones at the party will love that they get to partake in what the adults are enjoying.

Pair it with appetizers like a baked brie board and homemade jalapeño poppers, and you’ll be the talk of the town!

Key Ingredient Notes

  • Cranberry juice – Make sure to use 100% pure cranberry juice for the best taste.
  • Orange juice – I highly recommend using pulp-free orange juice. Nobody wants chunks of orange flesh in their drink!
  • Ginger ale – I always have cans of Schweppes ginger ale in my fridge. In my opinion, it’s truly the best! However, you can use any kind of ginger ale you have on hand.
  • Frozen cranberries – These are optional but highly recommended. They keep the drinks cold without the need for ice. Plus, they look super cute and can be eaten once the drinks are finished!

How to make orange cranberry spritzer

Recipes don’t get easier thank this orange cranberry spritzer drink!

  1. Mix the cranberry juice and orange juice in a large pitcher.
  2. Add the Schweppes ginger ale and frozen cranberries when ready to serve.
  3. Stir the drink one more time, and enjoy!

Keep chilled

Make sure all the drinks are cold before combining. Or, chill the pitcher in the fridge before serving.

Tips for Success

  • Use a large pitcher. I always recommend using a pitcher that’s larger than you think you need. That way you have plenty of room to mix the drinks and add extra garnishes.
  • Adjust the flavor. Feel free to experiment with different ingredient ratios to suit your flavor preferences. Sometimes I use up to ⅓ orange juice!
  • Add the ginger ale just before serving. If you add the soda too far in advance it can go falt. Then, your drink won’t be bubbly and sparkling, and we definitely don’t want that!

Make-Ahead Tips

This cranberry orange spritzer is best served right away. However, if you want to prepare in advance, you can mix the orange juice and cranberry juice in the pitcher, and store it in the fridge for 1-2 days

To serve, give the drink a good mix to redistribute the juices. Then, just add the ginger ale and garnishes, and it will be good to go!

Storing Tips

If you happen to have leftovers, you can store them in the pitcher in the fridge for 1-2 days. Your drink may go a little bit flat, but it will still be tasty!

FAQs:

Can I change the flavor?

Yes! Feel free to experiment with different flavor combinations to make this recipe your own. For instance, you can use flavored cranberry juice, swap the orange juice with grapefruit juice, or add cinnamon sticks to the pitcher.

Can I add alcohol?

Sure! If you don’t need to keep this spritzer alcohol-free, feel free to include any alcohol you like best such as vodka, tequila, prosecco, or Aperol.

Are cranberry and orange juice good together?

Yes! Cranberry and orange juice is a classic combination that is sweet, tart, and so delicious. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I’ve been known to make this spritzer all year long.
