This colorful rainbow smoothie is not only fun to look at, it’s also absolutely delicious and fun to drink!
Who is ready for summer? I sure am! Although we didn’t get as much snow as we used to for last several years, this winter has been one of the coldest ones. Brrr.
To welcome the beginning of spring time, I made this fabulous smoothie. I’m sure this will brighten your day as much as it did ours!
Despite rinsing the blender a few times, I truly enjoyed the process of making this smoothie. It was so much fun. I love experimenting in the kitchen, you know. For this beautiful drink once in a while, I will do anything!
My husband loved it as well. He said, “The flavor changes unexpectedly. You never know what you get next!” Don’t you want to make it too? Well, keep on reading.
Before we get into details of the recipe, let me share a new kitchen gadget I got recently. This pineapple slicer is awesome! It perfectly cores and slices the pineapple into uniform rounds, AND leaves perfect pineapple bowl that can be filled with smoothie. I highly recommend it!
Blend the ingredients for each layer separately in a blender. (I forgot to take a picture of the yellow layer. Oops.) Quick rinse between the layers is advised, no need for scrubbing with dish soap or anything, just a rinse. 🙂
Dish each layer in separate bowls.
To beautifully layer the smoothie, carefully spoon the mixture into a glass starting from the edges. If you just pour the layers on top of each other, you won’t get a beautiful presentation. Trust me, and don’t ask me how I know. 🙂
I know it’s a little bit of a process, but hey, look what you will get in the end! Totally worth it, don’t you think?
This colorful rainbow smoothie is not only fun to look at, it's also absolutely delicious and fun to drink!
