Seriously the easiest biscuits from scratch! These dump n' stir cheesy garlic biscuits require only 5 minutes of your time.

You know, I love me some cheesy garlic biscuits with dinner, especially when spaghetti is on the menu. I’ll even admit I used to stock up on those biscuit mixes that require only water. That’s until I discovered how easy it is to whip up these tasty little biscuits from scratch! The store-bought ones lacked on cheese factor. But that’s not an issue with these guys!

I do suggest grating your own cheese though. It’ll take you an extra 3 minutes, but you’ll taste the difference! You probably know by now that I loathe pre-shredded cheese. So, get a good quality block of sharp cheddar (I love Cabot seriously sharp cheddar).

For garlic flavor, we’ll use garlic powder. It adds a perfect hint of garlic without overpowering garlic flavor. Plus, no need to mess with peeling garlic or anything like that.

I’m not even kidding you when I say dump n’ stir! No mixer, no scale, just good ol’ wooden spoon (or a spatula, in my case), a measuring cup and a bowl. And you’re all set.

And to make things even easier, now I have little bags of pre-mixed dry ingredients in my pantry (my very own biscuit mix). When I need some fresh biscuits, I just need to add milk, sour cream and cheese! Now, that’s what I call easy-peasy! ?

By the way, these baked biscuits freeze pretty good too. Place the leftovers in a freezer bag and freeze. When ready to use, place them on a paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds. Voila!

Super soft crumbles, infused with garlic and cheese, these little biscuits are flavor bombs! Almost as good as homemade roasted garlic breadsticks. Almost!

I bet you have all the ingredients on hand. Go ahead and whip up a batch. After all, all you need is 5 minutes…

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 250gr all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup 240ml milk (I use whole milk, but any will work)
  • ¼ cup 60gr sour cream
  • 4 oz 100gr sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Note: I test all my recipes with both measurements for the most precise and accurate result!

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray the muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder. Add milk and sour cream and mix until combined. Stir in the cheese. Divide the batter into 12 muffin cups. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden.

Tips & Notes:

For step-by-step photos and additional notes, read the post above.
You can freeze leftover biscuits in a freezer bag for up to 30 days. When ready to use, place the frozen biscuits on a paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds.
