Baby Grant: 9-Month Update

Every day gets more and more fun with my little munchkin!

Ever since he came to this world, it’s been nothing but pure joy! And I’m not just saying that because I’m his mom. (Ok, maybe I am…)

But this little guy is always so calm, relaxed, and happy! So much so I actually find it pretty hilarious when he cries. And it happens so infrequently that I pull out my phone to document those loud outbursts even! But then he stops crying as he sees my phone and starts making funny faces. Right now, he’s into making super funny O face all the time!! (If you follow us on snapchat, you’ve seen it.)

Also, Grant gives the sweetest kisses!! I couldn’t believe when he gave me the first kiss. I thought it was just coincidence, but it wasn’t. When I ask him for too many kisses in a row, he’ll turn my face with his chubby little hand. Already refusing my kisses!! Haha

Oh, oh, and guess who got 2 little bottom teeth? Lucky for us, Grant had no discomfort that I could tell, just excessive drooling is all! Did I mention what a happy baby he is?!!

It amazes me how well he entertains himself too. When I’m busy working on a new recipe or doing dishes in the kitchen during the day, he’s super content in his play area and everywhere else, going between his books, toys and this walker thing. It’s an important skill to develop and I’m so glad that he’s doing well in this area and so independent.

He’s always on the move though! He crawls super fast (especially if he sees an open gate, or open fridge), pulls up on everything, walks around holding onto furniture… Busy, busy!

Oh and Grant’s still pretty solid on his schedule, which is AMAZING!! Now my days are somewhat predictable, which is crucial for this type-A mama!

As for eating, it’s a battle of sorts. He eats solids and purees just fine, but just not into nursing. I’m now exclusively pumping, and it’s still a struggle to make sure he’s getting minimum of 24oz of breastmilk a day, because he’s not a fan of eating from a bottle.

Oh, we may have accidentally taught our baby a sign language. Not the real sign language, but I think Grant thinks that he should clap his little hands when he’s done eating. 🙂 Garrat and I usually clap and say ‘good job’ when he finishes his food, and that’s where he might have learned it. He now starts clapping as he declines food. Such a smarty pants, I’m telling ya!

5 BABY PRODUCTS WE’RE ABSOLUTELY CRAZY ABOUT:

VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker – Grant thinks it’s pretty cool to sit and play with all the different things on it! And he even uses it to walk in the living room, though it’s best on the carpet, because it;s sturdier. On the wood floor, it slides a bit fast even on a slow setting.

Infantino Compact 2-in-1 Shopping Cart Cover – I’m a bit of a germaphobe. And this cover is a must! So convenient and versatile. It worked great both in shopping carts and restaurant high chairs.

NUK Learner Cup Silicone Spout – So this’s the 3rd type of sippy cup I bought, and the first that Grant can actually drink from. Love, love, love!

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-Stack – Grant’s favorite toy at the moment. He just adores all the colorful rings, perfect for chewing and throwing. 🙂

The Ear Book – We have stack of Dr. Seuss books and this one is Grant’s favorite one! I love seeing Garrat reading to the munchkin in the evening. The sight simply melts my heart…

As always, thank you so much for reading and following along my baby’s growth.
