Classic tiramisu features layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers & a sweet mascarpone filling topped with a generous dusting of cocoa powder. This decadent dessert is surprisingly easy to make & requires no baking!

1

Prepare the Espresso Shot

In a medium bowl, combine espresso, water & amaretto.

2

Make the Filling

In a saucepan, combine sugar & water. Bring it to a boil over medium heat & cook until the syrup reaches 244°F (118°C), about 8 mins.

3

Beat the Egg Yolks

In a mixing bowl with a whisk attachment, beat the yolks until pale yellow color, about 5 mins.

4

Pour in the Sugar Syrup

While the mixer is running on low speed, slowly pour in the sugar syrup into the yolks. Then increase the speed to medium and beat for 4 mins.

5

Add Mascorpone Cheese

Add mascarpone cheese & vanilla extract & whip until combined, about 30 seconds.

6

Whip Heavy Cream

In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until hard peaks form.

7

Combine the Mixtures

Add the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture & gently fold until well combined.

8

Arrange the Ladyfingers

Dip 10-11 ladyfingers into the espresso mixture for 2-3 seconds & arrange them into one layer in the prepared baking dish.

9

Spread the Filling

Add half of the filling over the first layer of ladyfingers & spread it evenly.

10

Repeat

Then repeat the layers one more time with the remaining ladyfingers & filling..

11

Dust Cocoa Powder

Generously dust cocoa powder all over. Cover & refrigerate overnight.
