Sweet & Salty Party Spread
Hosting last minute game day party this weekend? Don’t sweat, let me show you a quick n’ easy party spread idea.
Once upon a time, I loved to play basketball!
I was one of few kids who owned a basketball in our neighborhood back then, which showed how much I loved it. Not anymore though. I don’t even remember last time I held a basketball. I think I stopped playing when I started growing my nails in fear to break them. 🙂 Oh glorious teenage years!
Though I’m not into basketball anymore, I don’t mind hosting a game day party for my friends, who are actually into basketball games. Not to root for a team or anything, but for all the great food, of course!
Honestly though, I like to keep the game day parties as simple as possible. After a long work week, the last thing I want is to cook up a storm to watch a game. Instead, I simply setup a nice concession-type bar with a variety of sweet and salty treats and enjoy the company. Effortless and fun!
For my party spread here, I’ve got a few varieties of salty crackers, pretzel bites sprinkled with rainbow of skittles. You see, as much as I love my chocolate, I skip chocolate for the sweet n’ salty snacks and prefer to throw in Skittles. They add just the right texture and sweetness to the salty treats here.
And one good cheesy dip for a good measure, the recipe of which is coming to the blog next week. 😉
I hope you found an inspiration for your next game-day party spread. Thanks for reading.
