Key Lime Melon spritzer… Fun, beautiful and undeniably cooling! A must-try! What do you do when you have some melons and key limes laying around in the kitchen? Make some key lime melon spritzer, of course! 🙂 Just kidding, there are actually ton of things you can make with them, and this drink is probably the last thing you could think of. BUT you gotta try it. It’s surprisingly good.

Key Lime Melon spritzer… Fun, beautiful and undeniably cooling! A must-try! Not too sweet, slightly tart and fizzy! Perfect to cool of at the end of the day.

There are a few ways you can juice the limes and cantaloupe. First, you can quarter the limes and muddle with cantaloupe and then strain. Or, blend the cantaloupe cubes in a blender and juice the limes, then combine the two and strain. I thought the latter is quickest way.

Key Lime Melon Spritzer

Key Lime Melon spritzer… Fun, beautiful and undeniably cooling! A must-try!


Yield: 2

Ingredients:


  1. • 3 key limes

  2. • 1 ½ cups cut cantaloupe pieces

  3. • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

  4. • 2/3 cup club soda

  5. • 4oz rum


Directions:


  1. 1. Juice the limes.
    2. Puree the cantaloupe in a blender and strain it through fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.
    3. In a pitcher, mix together lime juice, cantaloupe juice, powdered sugar, club soda and rum. Serve over ice.
