Let’s take a break from all the pitcher cocktails for a moment. Pitcher drinks are fantastic and all, but sometimes it’s fun to bring out the cocktail shaker, right?

On my way home from Mongolia this summer, I read a magazine article on a plane that there is a new trend in mixology to infuse the spirits with various tea leaves. Being a huge tea-lover myself, I immediately fell in love the idea and wanted to experiment in my own kitchen. Well today, I’m excited to share with you my newest favorite martini with jasmine tea-infused vodka.

Jasmine tea-infused vodka

We first infuse the vodka with loose jasmine tea leaves. I let it steep for full 1 day, but a few hours should be enough. Then we mix it with simple syrup and splash of triple sec. You can, of course, adjust the amount of sweetness by adding more or less of simple syrup. Triple sec adds that much needed citrus kick to perfect the drink.

This martini makes me happy. I hope it does the same to you! 🙂
Cheers!
